Darling Walk 1b was a temporary, walk through streetscape, a theatrical entertainment environment with dodgem cars, thrill rides, games, laughing clowns, street performers, stalls fairy floss fun and razzmatazz
Painted murals and hanging painted sculptures were used extensively in this project, as an economical way to create a unified design environment. Produced in the studio and quickly assembled on site as backgrounds for rides and stalls, and for disguising commercial prefab buildings. Extensive use of neon and lighting effects animated many of the bright and bizarre painted images creating the theme and atmosphere of a funky entertainment venue.
